Garden of Pain

I can release my pain one drop at a time.

Your residue remains like resin on my skin, and I could never shake it off.

There’s beauty in pain they say.

Well, every seed must die for the flowers to grow.

So I bury the pain you left me- deep into the rich soil of my heart.

I water and till my soul, and with every season the roots of my healing sink deeper.

I can finally see the harvest.

Rows and rows of love- all the beauty I have made in my garden of pain.
